Oh.. Holidays

I'm not a "Holiday Person" per say... I love Halloween & that's about it. My daughter & I spent the past two Thanksgiving Holidays with friends (a married couple), their daughter, & their parents. We spent our first Christmas sleeping all day & the 2nd with a roommates & their daughter. This will be my first family Thanksgiving in a REALLY long time.

That being said, my family will be here from New Mexico. There will be at least 9 people in my 1000sqft apartment. Kill me now.

My family has never done holidays well. Ever. Probably the reason I'm not a fan. Although, I'm hoping since it's in my house there will be peace. If not I'll just throw everyone out :)

Gobble! Gobble! Haha

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving <3

Love

I have two wonderful human beings in my life I fall even more in love with daily.. I think that qualifies me as lucky.

My daughter will randomly drop what she's doing to come tell me a story (most of which I can't understand). It's fun to listen to her & make a big deal. I figure listening to her earnestly now will keep her talking to me when she hates me at 13.. She will just run up & kiss me. Just because. She's by far the greatest accomplishment of my life.

Then, there's my fiance: Thomas. He's quite the looker.. This helps my patience with him when he's playing Call of Duty: Ghost & screaming at an 11yro on Xbox live lol

Thomas has a sense of humor much like mine: trashy, snarky, smart assed, a little mean ;) We communicate well haha

My future husband makes sure all of his domestic duties are finished before he plays his games. He randomly buys me flowers. He puts our daughter & myself before himself in everything he does. He's always in my corner. He keeps my crazy at bay.

Thomas is absolutely my better half. Without him I'd probably be lost.

I've also got a group of girls that are like sisters to me.

I have a lot of things going the right way & that's a far cry from where I was just a year ago.

Counting my lucky stars. Daily.

Mommy

No, I don't have a flat belly, I carried a baby for 9 months. I'm not obese, just not America's social standard of "beauty" I guess.

"Why don't you work out?"

I work a 40+ hr a week job & I would rather spend time coloring on the floor with my daughter or reading a book with her than be concerned with what someone I don't know thinks about my body.

"You need to wear different clothes!"

Well, I hate shopping. I'm too petite for women's clothes & I hate what the junior's clothing that fits me looks like. Mama's got no business in booty shorts.

I choose to spend my money on my daughter, not on myself.

I cook healthy dinners 6 nights a week. I clean house daily.

I'm too busy being a mom & an "almost" wife.

I assure you, no one hates the way I look more than myself.

My fiance thinks I'm beautiful & sexy. My daughter loves me & doesn't care if I have a belly pooch.

Moral of the story: Stop projecting
